Surname File Search

The surname files are compilations of research previously done by Society researchers.  If you would like to have these files researched on your behalf, please click on our research request area.

Click "Clear" then "Search" to see all records.
Enter text in any field to restrict the search to only those records which CONTAIN your text in that field.

For numeric comparisons, begin with >, <, >=, or <=
To find a range, type between lowvalue and highvalue.
Use "and" & "or" for complex searches.

Use "*" as a wildcard, i.e. "F*" will get all surnames starting with the letter "F"

The locations are the Society's file numbers.  The "FH" designation means that we have a family history book on file.  The "PL" designation indicates it is listed in the Early Central Pennsylvania Lineages.  Remember, this is only an index.  To find out what is in each file you must contact the Society researchers, they will be happy to send you copies.
