Photograph Collection
Columbia County Historical and Genealogical Society Photograph Committee has reviewed and cataloged its collection of photographs. They span many areas of local interest including people, buildings, landmarks, industries, transportation, special events, etc. The Society is very appreciative of the Photograph Committee’s contributions in creating this database and indexing more than 7,100 images. On a regular basis the committee continues to add new photographs to the database. .The database includes descriptions of a photograph that may be listed in different categories. For example, a photograph of a public school would be listed in the "education" category and in the "location" category. Therefore, use school in the education category and Catawissa, in the "location" category. The search results would list only schools in Catawissa. The database is designed to allow the use of numerous categories to search for a particular photograph.
